The exhibition toured nationally to major regional galleries, including Rockhampton City Art Gallery, Brisbane City Gallery (now the Museum of Brisbane), Mossman Art Gallery, Ballarat, and the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery before concluding in 1999. Following the completion of the national tour, the original painting entered the private collection of Diana Crookes, where it has remained ever since.
